TREFINTI® Turf nematicide from Syngenta continues the introduction of new innovative product solutions required by turfgrass managers globally.

Developed exclusively for nematode management, TREFINTI® is powered by the TYMIRIUM® technology and introduces a new active ingredient - Cyclobutrifluram - with strong activity and low use rates as an unscheduled product. With an extensive list of plant parasitic nematodes managed, TREFINTI® offers flexibility and rotation ability in an integrated nematode management program.

How does TREFINTI® work?

TREFINTI® introduces the active constituent Cyclobutrifluram to the market, which is classified as a N3 nematicide mode of action. TREFINTI® exhibits contact activity to both ectoparasitic and endoparasitic nematodes and once in the plant, moves acropetally (upwardly mobile). TREFINTI® provides excellent flexibility in nematode management with its UV profile, meaning it can be applied during the day and watered in later in the evening.

Re-entry Period	DO NOT allow entry in treated areas until the spray has dried.
Precautionary Statements	This product complies with the specifications in its statutory registration. Implied terms and warranties are excluded. Syngenta’s liability for breach of the express or any non-excludable implied warranty is limited to product replacement or purchase price refund. The purchaser must determine suitability for intended purpose and take all proper precautions in the handling, storage and use of the product including those on the label and/or safety data sheet failing which Syngenta shall have no liability. FIRST AID: First aid is not generally required. If in doubt, contact a Poisons Information Centre (phone 131 126) or a doctor.
Personal Protective Equipment	1. Respiratory protection : No personal respiratory protective equipment normally required. When workers are facing concentrations above the exposure limit they must use appropriate certified respirators. 2. Hand protection: - Material: Nitrile rubber - Break through time : > 480 min - Glove thickness : 0.5 mm - Remarks : Wear protective gloves. The choice of an appropriate glove does not only depend on its material but also on other quality features and is different from one producer to the other. Please observe the instructions regarding permeability and breakthrough time which are provided by the supplier of the gloves. Also take into consideration the specific local conditions under which the product is used, such as the danger of cuts, abrasion, and the contact time. The break through time depends amongst other things on the material, the thickness and the type of glove and therefore has to be measured for each case. Gloves should be discarded and replaced if there i s any indication of degradation or chemical breakthrough. 3. Eye protection : No special protective equipment required. 4. Skin and body protection : Choose body protection in relation to its type, to the concentration and amount of dangerous substances, and to the specific work-place. Remove and wash contaminated clothing before re-use. Wear as appropriate: Impervious clothing. 5. Protective measures : The use of technical measures should always have priority over the use of personal protective equipment. When selecting personal protective equipment, seek appropriate professional advice. Personal protective equipment should comply with relevant national standards.

Application Advice

Mixing and spraying	TREFINTI® is a Suspension Concentrate (SC) formulation that mixes readily with water and is applied as a spray. Measure the required amount of TREFINTI®, add to the partly filled spray tank, and then add the remainder of the water.
Water volume	Applications should be in sufficient water volume to ensure that the product reaches the root zone. Where lower application volumes are used, washing in should commence as soon as possible after application. For best results, use very coarse droplets (eg Air Induction 08 nozzles) and a minimum application volume of 800 L/ha. Irrigate with 3 to 6 mm of water commencing within 1 hour of application. DO NOT irrigate to the point of run off.
Compatibility	TREFINTI® is compatible with a range of commonly used fungicides, insecticides, herbicides and fertilizers. Always consult your Syngenta representative before mixing TREFINTI® with other products. As formulations of other manufacturer’s products are beyond the control of Syngenta, and the quality of water may vary with location, all mixtures should be tested prior to mixing commercial quantities.
